For this project, costume designer Satomi Ito, who has created costumes for Yuzuru Hanyu for many years, designed entirely new costumes. Hanyu actually wore these "Haute Couture on Ice" costumes for an original photoshoot and recording session.

The photography was handled by Toru Yaguchi, a photographer who, like Ito, has worked with and photographed Hanyu for many years.

All featured works were newly photographed on a privately rented ice rink.

This unprecedented collaboration brought together Hanyu as a skater, one-of-a-kind costumes, and exclusive photography into a truly unique collection unlike anything ever created before.

For inclusion in the photo book, Ito created three entirely new costumes:
- Knight of the White Peacock
- Sakura
- Energy

Also featured:
- Moonlight Sonata
(a costume previously gifted by Ito to Hanyu)
- Heaven and Earth
(chosen by Hanyu as his favorite competitive costume)
- Fire Bird
(selected by Ito from Hanyu's performance costumes for this collection)

In total, Hanyu was photographed skating in six costumes.

Embroidery Lace & Photo Set

This original display holder features framed white peacock embroidery lace used in the costume "Knight of the White Peacock," paired with a photograph of Hanyu wearing the costume.

The gold peacock embroidery lace was specially created from scratch for this project and is an extremely rare item unavailable to the general public.

One side features the main visual photograph of Hanyu used on the photo book cover. The title is embossed in gold foil, giving the holder a luxurious finish.

A behind-the-scenes photo collection documenting the costume fitting sessions.

Fittings are an essential part of costume production, used to confirm sizing in temporary sewn forms and test functionality while skating on the ice rink.

Recently, she has expanded into wedding dress design while remaining committed to creating one-of-a-kind pieces.

Her designs are known for vivid gradients and intricate details that express each wearer's unique world.

After graduating from Sophia University's Department of Journalism, he worked as a photographer for Hochi Shimbun, covering:

- 2022 Beijing Olympics

He began covering figure skating during the 2019-2020 season.

In February 2023, he became freelance and now works in both sports and portrait photography, creating works that capture the personality and charm of his subjects, including numerous photo books featuring Yuzuru Hanyu.
